STEP 1:
Establish a principal office/business mailing address
If you don't have an "in state" commercial address, we strongly recommend setting up a TRUE Space Virtual Office for address and mailbox service. If you live in Georgia you have the option to use your home address as your principal office/business mailing address. STEP 2:
Appoint a Registered Agent:
A "registered agent" receives service of process, legal documents, and legal correspondence that are delivered to your business, in care of your legally designated agent. If you live in Georgia, you can be your business’s registered agent when also listing your home address as the agent address (public information). Note: A virtual office address can not be used for registered agent purposes. TRUE Space offers ultra-low cost, full service Registered Agent Services.
STEP 3:
Form Your LLC or Corporation

Rapid Processing/Filing: Filing requests can often be processed by TRUE Space and filed same day, or the following business day, subject to your availability to provide needed information and time of day received. This is our normal level of service, no extra charge for TRUE Space rapid filing. GA takes 7-10 days to process filings. If you need it fast, the GA Sec of State offers 2 business day "expedited processing". You can add that service for $120.00 when speaking to one of our corporate filing specialists.
STEP 4:
File Notice of Incorporation: Published on Local Organ (Corporations Only - not LLC's)
Georgia requires a legal notice be published in the local organ stating that you are incorporating a business. The notice must be filed (within 1 day) after formation.

STEP 5:
Obtain EIN (Employer Identification Number)
Once your formation has been approved by the state, TRUE Space can process your EIN request to help get your EIN instantly. This is the federal taxpayer ID number for the business entity.

STEP 6:
File Initial Annual Registration
(Corporations Only - not LLC's)
The State of Georgia requires new corporations (not LLC’s) file an Initial Annual Registration within 90 days of formation. The filing provides the state with corporate officer information (President/CEO, Treasurer/CFO, and Secretary). Note: All required positions can be the same person.

The fees displayed are based on normal domestic corporation filing situations within the state of Georgia. There are special situations that can require non-standard filing processes or additional state filing fees (ie: foreign corporations, non-compliant corporations).
